The hijacked vessel with six Russian and one Estonian sailors on board is located near Bonny Island in the southern Nigeria's Niger Delta, the Xinhua news agency is saying today.

“Necessary machinery has been put in motion to ensure that the abducted crew members are released and the hijackers are apprehended,” Kabiru Aliyu, spokesperson of the Nigerian navy forces, said.
On Monday pirates attacked the Bourbon Liberty 249 operated by Paris-based company c off the coast of Nigeria's southern delta, kidnapping six Russian sailors and an Estonian, the firm said Wednesday.
The vessel’s crew worked on maintenance of oil platforms off Nigeria’s shores.
The Russian Foreign Ministry has said that all necessary measures to ensure that the Russian sailors are released are being taken.
